What does celebrating freedom mean to you?

Today, in the USA, we celebrate the freedom we have to live in a country where we have rights. We can go where we want, do what we want, and say what we want. (All within reason ofcourse but this is not a post for political debates.)

I want to plea with you to consider a few things today as you celebrate. Think about the voices at our rescue that have been silenced. Sometimes literally via abuse, sometimes through neglect, and sometimes through traumatic life changes.

While we will always remain grateful for the freedom we have in this beautiful country. Our purpose, our mission, is to fight for their rights. Advocate for animal rights, fight for policy change, and physically rescue as many as possible.
