WAKE UP!

While you were sleeping last night the OKC shelter volunteers were posting on FB.

While we dreamed of Sukis Play yard going under construction, the dogs in the video had their last dream.

Last night, the two huskies you see in the video who came in together (likely bonded) missed each other in a way we don’t understand.

For TWO SOLID MINUTES, while I lay in the I between place of sleep and another day in rescue, I scrolled through and saw over and over and over...

“On euth today 8/28. “On euth for Wednesday 8/28,” on euth healthy transfer eligible” “urgent, on euthanasia, deadlined” and then I get to yesterdays “no longer in need.”

I’ll be going to OKC shelter to pick up the husky I tagged yesterday and the Stillwater husky who is out of time too.

I CANNOT TAKE 4. And WILL NOT tolerate anyone trying to guilt me into saving two more lives because the two I saved today just were not good enough.

GINA, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

I’ll keep you posted on my timing and if someone can go to the shelter and adopt that bonded pair, you would be saving 4 lives.

I’ll say it again, I cannot take them so please understand the urgency and go and save their lives. Traditionally I don’t post about dogs that I can’t rescue.

This time I mean it. I cannot take them. I am already saving two. They need someone else to step up for them.
