The moment you've all been waiting for !!!

Annie loves to give kisses and she's getting more and more playful with me every day. This is what rescue is all about and this is truly how fostering saves lives! It's not always easy and it's definitely not perfect. You get Angry, upset and feel so defeated until you push through and allow more time/ routine and consistency then you get the moments you're always waiting for. The reward, the overcoming behaviors and seeing the progress of the hard work you put into them! It truly makes everything worth it!

Just think back: this was an unadoptable dog, also very pregnant but she was so terrified of life no one would have adopted her or could have so she found herself on the euthanasia list, Jenni pulled her and her brother and then me and her worked through it every day. We had mutual respect, and I would test my limits and she would very much let me know when I crossed them..

Here's to exploring and overcoming I'm so proud of us! I cannot wait for her next chapter to begin.
