"Pinned on her back getting bitten on her neck, legs, and face."

"Pinned on her back getting bitten on her neck, legs, and face."

IT HAPPENED AGAIN.

Greetings, Team H3. Your not-so-friendly, resident Californian, rogue armchair rescuer is grabbing the H3 mike yet again to demand help for my next proposed rage rescue.

Why not-so-friendly? BECAUSE IT HAPPENED AGAIN.

Yesterday afternoon, while we were all looking forward to a nice 3-day-weekend, 2-year-old husky Cassandra was attacked at SBC Animal Services by three kennelmates. The SAME location where Boomer was mauled to death less than 48 hours earlier. Cassandra sustained injuries of unknown severity and is at the vet being treated this morning.

This. Is. Bullshit.

Last night, I submitted an Official Demand to H3 (aka texted Jenni) that I wanted to rescue Cassandra to honor Boomer.

I've emailed SBC Animal Services to ask for Cassandra's status and if she is available to tag.

Roll call: if we can take her, are y'all in to help? Spread the word, donate for her care (we don't know what her medical bills are), help us think through how we end the oxymoronic reality of "shelters" in which huskies are being brutally attacked on a daily basis.

Anger. Deja vu. The desire to honor Boomer. The suspense and dread and hope of not knowing whether there is anything this community can do to help Cassandra, but hoping that we can.

That's what I'm feeling right about now. Join me.

More when we have it.
