We just got put on blast.

We stopped by Stanislaus Animal Services Agency to pick up Peppermint and her patties today, and Alpha here - who is chomping at the bit to leave SASA though still on stray hold - had a clear message:

California's shelter crisis is unacceptable. The conditions through which abandoned dogs suffer in California are unacceptable. The death rate in California kill facilities is unacceptable. The number of Californians who are abandoning and dumping their pets is unacceptable.

The time to change that: now.

The people who change that: us.

The way we change that: Project100

$100,000 in funding. 100 Halfway Huskies into permanent or foster homes. 100 huskies step out of California kill facilities, into their halfways, and then into their forevers.

Thanks to your generosity, we have raised more than $63,000 of the $100,000. But we still have a long way to go.

Let's do the damn thing.
