Adoption Highlights
Goober
About 7 years old, from the Stanislaus Shelter in California, with us for roughly 830 days. Don’t let his age fool you—Goober acts like a two-year-old whirlwind. Energy, sass, and a big personality packed into his fluffy frame. He’s also a major foodie who prefers not to share, but he’s a sweetheart with his people and loves to curl up on the bed after play. Goober’s voice: “Food? Mine. Treats? Mine. Toys? Yep—mine. But you? You’re mine too, and I’ll love you forever. Just don’t touch my dinner.”
Cheveyoh
Just over 9 years old, with us about 100 days. One of the “puppy farm kids,” he arrived shaved down and grumpy. Now his coat is coming back, his manners are improving, and his sass is strong as ever. Low-to-medium energy with occasional zoomies, this boy needs an experienced husky owner, a small, well-managed pack, and firm but loving boundaries.Cheveyoh’s voice: “I’m old, I’m grumpy, and I’ve got sass for days. But with treats, a comfy couch, and respect for my quirks, I’ll be your grouchy teddy bear for life.”
Sierra
The definition of a princess. She’s 5 years, 10 months, twice adopted and twice returned. High energy, treat motivated, dramatic—and she wants you all to herself. Needs an experienced handler who can manage sass and still spoil her like royalty.
Sierra’s voice: “Yes, I’m a princess. No, I will not share your attention. I’ll run, I’ll play, I’ll keep you laughing—but at the end of the day, I want all the snacks, all the cuddles, and all of YOU.”
Ozzy
Estimated 5 years, 9 months. Adopted twice, returned twice. Loves to slip out doors and turn it into a thrilling chase—but once the game’s over, he’s all about snuggles and playtime. Medium prey drive; thrives in a well-managed pack without pushy young pups.
Ozzy’s voice: “I’m the Catch Me If You Can champ—and trust me, I always win. But once the game’s over? I’m all about snuggles, snacks, and playtime. Think you can keep up with me? Game on.”
Pepino
Oklahoma boy, about 2 years old, with us about 80 days. Came with an infected neuter site, now healed and thriving. Grumpy, playful, a little anxious, loves to poke at other dogs then act innocent. Higher energy, crate anxious, would thrive as an only dog or in a small structured pack. Pepino’s voice: “I’m cute, I’m sassy, I’m dramatic—and yes, I’ll poke the bear just to stir the pot. Really I’m just an anxious, playful guy who wants love, activity, and a family who gets me.”

Zoey FKA Amberly: From Scared Stray to Cozy Home
Tiny, scared, and running the streets of Oklahoma City—Zoey’s story began like too many others. Thanks to Oklahoma City Animal Welfare, networkers, and H3 saying yes at the last minute, she was saved.
She blossomed here, even claimed a spot with the office crew. When Shayna reached out looking for a puppy, she met Zoey instead—and it was love at first sight. With support from the H3 team, Shayna, Shadow, and Zoey worked through the transition together and built their pack. Congrats Shayna, Shadow, and Zoey—you are no longer Halfway Home.
