She came so close (within an hour or so) to having a very, very bad day.  

We were there to pick up the red girl, not her.

As Melissa approached her kennel, she started threatening to tear her face off.

“Get up and wipe those tears. You are done here.” Melissa said. “It’s time to live your life.”
