What Went Down at Husky Halfway House (June 6–10)
From new arrivals to senior send-offs, this week at Husky Halfway House was full of milestone moments, heartwarming updates, and a few hilarious husky antics in true H3 fashion. If you missed anything, don’t worry—we’ve rounded up every muddy paw print, rescue ride, and fuzzy face right here.

👑 Theo: The Grumpy Gentleman with a Fuzzy Bobblehead
Meet Theo—a 5-year-old husky from the Newcastle shelter who came in looking rough but full of sass. Now? He’s grown back more than just fur—he’s grown into a lovable little king who wants nothing more than a quiet home, tasty treats, and maybe a couch to claim as his throne.
💬 “I’m Theo. Give me snacks, space, and someone who gets me, and I’ll be the best grumpy old man you’ve ever met.”

💚 Simon: High Energy, Big Heart, Zero Chill
Simon, a 1-year, 8-month-old firecracker from the Moore shelter, is all go, all love, all the time. He’s playful, affectionate, and a little too enthusiastic for the more mature dogs at H3—but in the right home with a confident leader? He’s going to thrive.
💬 “Wanna play? Wanna race? Wanna give me snacks? LET’S GO!”

🐶 JoJo: The Velcro Queen Who Loves Kids and Dog Friends
JoJo has been with us 620 days, but she’s never stopped hoping. This sweet 4-year, 7-month-old girl blossoms in homes with kids and thrives in big packs. She’s shy at first, but once she opens up? She’ll never leave your side.
💬 “Give me time, a few kids, and a snack stash—and I’ll be yours forever.”

🏄♀️ Princess: California Sass and Sunshine
After 662 days, Princess is still keeping the yard lively with her energy, her sass, and her love for people (and snacks). She’s a SoCal girl through and through—playful, bold, and packed with personality.
💬 “I’m Princess, babe. Let me run, let me snack, and let’s make waves.”

🎬 Rescue in Action: Cali Kids and Avenal Movie Preview
In honor of Min Tin and Markie Mark, we released a sneak peek of our Fourth of July mini-movie, documenting our full sweep of the Avenal shelter in California. It’s a cinematic look at real-time rescue—and it’s just the beginning.

💥 Min Tin Update: From Fear to Friendship
Min Tin came in scared and reactive—but just a few days later, with Roxy by his side, he’s started to relax and enjoy the good life. This is what the 3-3-3 rule is all about: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to settle, and 3 months to fully bloom.

📦 Greater Good Delivers Again + Bathtime Shenanigans
This week brought another Greater Good Charities GOODS Program delivery, which means new toys and supplies for our huskies—including Buddy and Elvis, who’ve been soaking up the good life at Jenni’s house.
And yes—Luke, Leia, and Beau got their spa day on camera.
