Phoenix Rises, Platform Shifts, and Five Huskies Go Home

If you have ever wondered what real rescue looks like, here it is.

This week brought the return of Phoenix, five adoptions in three days, and adoptable huskies who have been waiting far too long. It also exposed a financial fight with Meta and a big push to bring Pitsky Park to life. Rescue is messy, beautiful, relentless, and you are part of it every time you read, share, donate, or adopt.

🔥 Phoenix: Halfway Home at Last

Three months ago, Phoenix escaped. His face was covered in scars. His body trembled with fear. His heart was locked behind trauma that would not let him trust.

But Annabelle never stopped showing up. Every single day, she sat. She waited. She spoke gently and let him come close. Until one day, he finally did. Phoenix let her bring him home.

That is what rescue is. Not just catching dogs. It is keeping your promises, no matter how long it takes.

Phoenix is halfway home again, and our hearts are full.

🌟 Husky Highlights: Adopt Me!

🧢 Goober

Goober is estimated to be just over 7 years old. He has been with us more than 800 days since leaving Stanislaus Shelter in California.

Goober is sweet, playful, and loves food, but he does not like to share. Toys, food, space, he wants those to himself. He will thrive as an only dog or in a carefully managed home where his boundaries are respected.

“I might not share my snacks, but I will always share my heart.” – Goober

💥 Max

Max is estimated to be 4 years old. He came to us from Texas, skinny, heartworm positive, and full of sass. Now he is healthy, heartworm free, and still rocking that attitude.

He is food motivated, medium energy, and super vocal. Max needs structure and a confident leader who understands pack dynamics.

“Bring the snacks, I will bring the zoomies and cuddles. Deal?” – Max

🚀 Rocket

Rocket is estimated to be almost 9 years old. He has been with us for 310 days since leaving Sammie’s Friends in California.

He is obsessed with tennis balls, full of playful energy, and not shy about stirring up mischief. He will pester other dogs for fun and guard his food, but with structure and attention, Rocket shines.

“I may be almost nine but give me a tennis ball and I will run circles around the pups.” – Rocket

💙 Adoptions and Happy Endings

🐾 Marshmellow’s Story

Marshmellow had been bouncing between the rescue and Jenni’s home, never quite fitting in. Then a child walked in, chose him, and he chose them back. That was the moment Jenni let him go.

🎉 Blizzard and Spooky’s double adoption

ree

Kristie Kidd came to adopt one husky. She left with two, Blizzard, formerly Snowball, and Spooky, formerly Charley. She also brought gourmet treats for the entire pack. Dessert night at H3 was one for the books.

🌹 Kaliska’s Legacy

This past week we said goodbye to one of the oldest souls ever to pass through our gates. Kaliska, a 17-year-old husky whose name means Coyote Chasing Deer.

When Jonny from the OKC shelter called asking if Jenni would take her, she knew this girl was meant for Carter. It was not fair that Carter’s heart had to break, but what was more unfair is that Kaliska nearly died alone in her backyard. Instead, she was loved fiercely, cared for deeply, and given the honor of leaving this world as a Halfway Husky.

Her story is not ending here. Carter got to tell it, and soon the world will get to read it. The next book in the Halfway Husky series is almost ready, Kaliska’s Legacy.

➡️ For two weeks only, the Legacy Edition will include Carter’s autograph, possibly Cameo’s, and Kaliska’s nose print on the back cover.

If you cannot cover the full cost, we are also offering $5 chances at the book.

Kaliska is forever no longer halfway home.

⚠️ Meta is not paying us

Jenni did a deep dive into the books and confirmed that Meta has not paid H3 for any subscriber content in over two years. That is thousands of dollars gone. We have emailed, appealed, and asked for support, but nothing has changed.

All subscriber content is moving to our website, TikTok, and YouTube. Facebook will now be used for adoptions, fundraisers and sweepstakes only.

If you are a current subscriber, please cancel on Facebook and re-subscribe on our website: https://www.huskyhalfwayhouse.org/bepartofthepack

Congratulations to Edward Wisowaty, the Rubicon Dog Seat Sweepstakes winner!

🚧 Pitsky Park Progress

Pitsky Park is the future of Husky Halfway House. It will be a community centered space with an adoption focused USA sanctioned BMX track, small businesses, and event infrastructure, all tied back to the rescue.

Jenni has already raised 7K toward her 10K startup goal. Want to be part of it? Give to the GoFundMe or connect us with builders and investors who want to create something real.

💬 Final Word

This week was a lot.

We caught a dog that was once uncatchable.

We exposed a platform that profits off our work and pays us nothing.

We adopted out five incredible dogs.

We asked for help, and you showed up.

This is rescue. This is us.

We are not done.

Till they all have homes. 🐺💙
