This sweet girl showed up at the Altus Oklahoma shelter as a stray. She was wearing a pink collar. No tags. No microchip. And no one came looking for her, so after a month of waiting to be adopted, she ended up on the red list, out of time.
H3 couldn't let her life end that way, even though we are on intake hold, we had to save her. She has made it through quarantine and is officially a Halfway Husky. When she first arrived, Jenni promised her that we would find a couch and a family when she was ready for her forever home. That time is now!
Magdalene is estimated to be around 5 years old. She may be a bit shy around new people and dogs initially and will hang out on the sidelines until she gets comfortable. Once she figures out her place in the pack, she thrives. In fact, she will need a pack of others to help her adjust to a new environment. Preferably calm and medium energy dogs, like her.
We have found that she does not do good with cats. And she does not do well in a crate. Hmmm an older female husky, unfixed prior to intake and she is afraid of small/enclosed spaces...does anyone else smell a backyard breeder? Yeah, me too.
It's time to close that chapter of her life for good! Time for Magdalene to get her forever home! Are you looking for a new pack member? Put in an application today!
Magdalene is currently located at Husky Halfway House in Oklahoma. All H3 dogs, including Magdalene, are available for adoption throughout the USA, except for Hawaii and Alaska.
