In Honor of 80 Lives Lost

In honor of the lives lost at OKC this week, Alicia and I at We’re OK Foundation - An Animal Rescue, went into OKC tonight and pulled out 9 huskies. We can't change what happened or take back the 80 lives lost, but we can for these 9 and the 9 that will live because their spots opened up at the shelter.

Do better OKlahoma. Hundreds of animals are being euthanized for your selfishness. Mass euthanizing at a shelter is never ok. 80 animals euthanized in a 48-hour period. Disgusting. Sounds to me like the easy way out, meanwhile, my rescue will have to spend 15k to save 9 dogs.

This isn't working. Something has to change. I am sick. Sick of the selfishness. Something has got to change.
