Oh hey. I’m Sophie. And yes, I am the moment. 👑✨ 
 
I’m six years old, have the fluff of a goddess (it’s called wooly, look it up), and I’ve been stuck here for almost 800 days—far too long for a queen like me. I came from the Stanislaus shelter, and since then, I’ve been dealing with all kinds of nonsense from these other girls who think they’re in charge. Spoiler alert: they’re not. I am. Always have been, always will be. 
 
Now let’s get a few things straight. I like humans. I really do. You’re great, especially when you’re brushing me like the royalty I am—gently, thank you very much. No pulling or rushing. I’ve got a whole coat of glam to maintain. I’m playful, I’m loyal, and yes, I’m a little dramatic. But aren’t we all, when we’ve been waiting this long for someone to treat us right? 
 
I’m looking for a medium-energy castle (ahem, home) where I can have my fun, take my naps, and not have to compete with another girl dog who thinks she’s hot stuff. I’ll allow some boys—as long as they know who’s boss. I’ve earned my throne, and I’m not about to share it.

Every Husky at Husky Halfway House needs food, medical care, shelter, and love every single day.It costs about $10 a day to care for one dog, and with over a hundred huskies on-site and transport currently paused, we need your help more than ever.

That’s where Virtual Adoptions come in.
When you virtually adopt, you’re sponsoring one of our Halfway Huskies while they wait for their forever home.You’re helping cover their daily care, meals, medication, and their second chance.

How it works
You choose your husky and your level of sponsorship, and we’ll take care of the rest.
If your chosen dog’s sponsorship is already met for the month, your donation will automatically go toward the next husky with the highest need.
If your husky gets adopted, we’ll contact you with the details of your new Halfway Husky and offer the option to switch or continue your sponsorship.
