Rocket

Rocket is obsessed with tennis balls and loves to play..
.
He knows how to live in a house. He's house trained. He knows "sit." He knows "paw." He has plenty of energy to zoom around when it's time to play and enough life experience to know that naps are pretty great too..
.
Shouldn't that be enough to get him adopted?.
.
Do we really need to say more?.
.
Considering he has been here since 2024....
.
Apparently we do..
.
Unfortunately, Rocket is one of those dogs who ends up stuck in a tough spot when it comes to adoption..
.
He's a senior. And most people want puppies, or really young dogs. Even people who are seniors themselves often email us looking for puppies..
.
Puppies are cute. We get it. Heck, we love them too..
.
But Rocket is pretty cute himself..
.
He does have a high prey drive, so cats are a no-go. No small animals in general. Which narrows his pool of potential adopters even further..
.
But let's be honest here..
.
A lot of huskies aren't cat safe..
.
Rocket shouldn't have to check so many boxes just to deserve a family..
.
At this point, we're starting to wonder what exactly Rocket has to do to get his own couch..
.
He's waited so patiently..
.
Now he just needs someone willing to see those labels for what they really are: a description, not a disqualification..
.
And maybe keep a few tennis balls around the house..
.
Rocket would appreciate that..
