Meet Ozzborne <br />
Ozzborne is a sweet, five-year-old husky girl who’s been on quite a journey. Found as a stray in Wagner, Oklahoma, she spent five long weeks in a small, police-run shelter. By the time she arrived at Husky Halfway House, Ozzborne was shut down and incredibly shy.<br />
At first glance, Ozzborne might look like a happy husky, but the truth is, she was exhausted. She was terrified of everything—noises, other dogs, and especially us humans. In her panic, she slipped on the wet concrete, soaking her backside in the water she had spilled while desperately trying to find a way out of the yard. 💔<br />
But Ozzborne’s story didn’t end there. Over a year later, this incredible girl has come so far. Now, she’ll practically climb into your pocket for a squeaky toy, and she loves her treats. She’s even built trust in some of us humans, so much so that she’ll come to us for attention and scratches.<br />
She was placed in a carefully chosen pack that helped her learn that not all humans are bad. Her packmates showed her how to navigate her fears, who to trust, and, of course, who has the treats! 🐾<br />
Here at Husky Halfway House, we believe in the power of the pack. Huskies are naturally pack-oriented, bred to work together toward a shared mission. That instinct is vital to their rehabilitation—it is together that they heal one another. They do the work; we simply facilitate the process.<br />
Ozzborne’s story is a testament to the incredible transformation that happens when huskies are supported by the pack. She now trusts, loves, and thrives, but she’s ready for her next chapter—a forever home.<br />
