Jenni found Jet at OKC Animal Welfare last June..

He didn't have a family..

He didn't even have a name..

He was a stray with severe mange and painful wounds on his legs and backside. The injuries had become badly infected and were infested with maggots..

It took time to get him healthy..

The first thing Jenni gave him was a name..

She chose Jet on the ride home from OKC..
.
Today, Jet is healed, feeling good, and making up for lost time..
.
Jet is the kind of husky who wants to be involved in everything..
.
If anything is happening, Jet wants to participate..

And if he can't?.

Jet is a big talker. Whether it's food, people, toys, or other dogs having fun without him, he's never been shy about sharing his opinion..

He also loves to play. His favorite possession is a well-loved raccoon ball in Boomer's yard that has seen better days and probably deserves retirement at this point..

Like many dogs who have had a rough start, Jet appreciates structure and clear boundaries. Around meals, he does best with management, which is why he stays in the feeder kennels during breakfast and dinner. His bowl is his bowl, and he feels most comfortable when everyone respects that..

Outside of those moments, Jet is busy doing what he does best..
