Bramble

Bramble is estimated to be about 8 years old, around 55 pounds, and came to H3 from OKC. Jenni rescued him at the same time as Rambo, which honestly feels fitting because both of them are goofy boys with a ton of personality.

Bramble is what I would call a treasure of a husky.

He is very food motivated, loves cuddles, loves to play, and is absolutely a counter surfer if given the opportunity. If food exists and he thinks you forgot about it for even half a second, he will investigate.

He also really likes socks.

He will tolerate a crate but if he gets bored, he is going to sing you the song of his people.

One of Bramble’s favorite games is what I call “the hand game,” where you flap your hands around dramatically while the dog play mouths at them. Bramble LOVES this game. And when he gets really excited, he wants his mouth involved in everything. Not aggressively, just overly enthusiastic goofy husky behavior.

In the video you can actually see me playing that game with him. About three seconds after the video ended, I stood up to talk to Carter and Annabelle when they casually warned me, “Oh yeah, he likes ankles.”

Unfortunately for me, I was wearing shoes that did not fully cover my feet.

So naturally Bramble gently put my ankle in his mouth as part of the game and I screamed because I am EXTREMELY ticklish around my feet. The second I reacted, he stopped immediately and took off doing senior zoomies around the porch like the happiest old man alive.

That is Bramble in a nutshell.

And yes, his ears look a little funky. People familiar with rescue dogs will probably recognize it as damage from fly strike. It definitely does not make him any less lovable.

He is sweet, playful, ridiculous, mouthy in the funniest way possible, and still has so much life left in him. 💜
