When I first showed up at the rescue, I had big husky energy — full of attitude, confidence, and ready to take over the world. Typical me, right? But life decided I needed a little humbling. One day, I got myself into a classic husky mess (because, hello, curiosity!) and somehow managed to hang upside down in a fence. Yeah… not my finest moment. 🙈 
 
The good news? No broken bones, just a bruised ego and a whole lot of learning. Since then, I’ve chilled out a bit. I’m more about calm vibes these days — sticking to small, mellow groups or just enjoying some quality solo time. 
 
Get me one-on-one, though, and that’s where the magic happens. I’m playful, goofy, and full of life when I trust you. One minute I’m zooming around chasing toys, the next I’m curled up next to you, soaking in all the love I can get. It’s like I’m making up for all the time I lost while healing. 
 
Will my bossy side make a comeback once I settle into a forever home? Maybe. (Hey, I’m still a husky at heart!) But what I really want is someone who can keep up with my playful spirit, appreciate my softer side, and give me the calm, loving home I’ve been dreaming about.

Every Husky at Husky Halfway House needs food, medical care, shelter, and love every single day.It costs about $10 a day to care for one dog, and with over a hundred huskies on-site and transport currently paused, we need your help more than ever.

That’s where Virtual Adoptions come in.
When you virtually adopt, you’re sponsoring one of our Halfway Huskies while they wait for their forever home.You’re helping cover their daily care, meals, medication, and their second chance.

How it works
You choose your husky and your level of sponsorship, and we’ll take care of the rest.
If your chosen dog’s sponsorship is already met for the month, your donation will automatically go toward the next husky with the highest need.
If your husky gets adopted, we’ll contact you with the details of your new Halfway Husky and offer the option to switch or continue your sponsorship.
