How Is Beau Still Here?

Seriously, we don't get it. We really don't.

Beau has been at Husky Halfway House for almost two years now.

How has nobody adopted him?

You know all those events we take the huskies to?

The adoption events. The community booths.

The PARADES.

And I mean actual parades. Riding on a float through town while crowds of people wave, bright lights and music blaring kind of parades.

Beau goes to all of them.

And he is always perfect.

While other dogs might get overwhelmed or anxious, Beau just hangs out. He greets people, accepts pets, enjoys the attention, and never causes a fuss.

Still not adopted.

And here is the part that really blows our minds.

Two different families went through our adoption process (at different times) and picked Beau.

Not a casual inquiry.

Not a "maybe someday."

They completed the process. They chose him.

Then both families backed out.

To this day, none of us understand it.

Steady. Sweet. Easy to be around.

So if you've been looking for a husky who is past the puppy stage, enjoys people, and is perfectly content just hanging out with his humans, maybe it's time to take a look at Beau.

Because we still don't understand how he's here.
