This is the reality of an intake hold. I took this video back in December. I went into a high kill shelter, met every husky, and saw that hopeful look they give you - "Are you the person who will get me out of this hell?"

To see that and have to walk away without helping, is both the most excruciating feeling in the world and the most powerful motivator I have ever experienced.

This husky howled at me without pause. He advocated for himself. He demanded help. And it ripped my heart out that I couldn't take him with me. But I promised him that I would share his pain with all of you and ask for your help so we can change that reality for as many others as we can.

Project100 is life or death. We need the funds, and we need the adoptions and fosters so that when a husky howls for help, the answer will be yes.
