⚡ Bandit ⚡.
.
Oh, hi. Yeah, it’s me. Bandit. I know—you’ve probably heard some things. Let me clear a few of them up real quick..
.
I got here back in August 2024 from the OKC shelter, and from day one, everyone learned three very important facts about me:.
I love food..
I love attention..
And… I’m not exactly into sharing either of those things..
.
What? I know what I like..
.
At first, things were easy. I had my little quarantine crew, my small circle, my people. Life was good. Then they moved me into the big packs and—wow. Yeah. No. Not my scene..
.
Apparently, I was “harshing the vibes.” Rude..
.
So, Melissa, Annabelle, and Carter did the smart thing and brought me into their office. Smaller yard, more supervision, way better service. Honestly? VIP treatment. They said it was for dogs who needed a little extra help… I say it’s because I’m special..
.
I stayed at the rescue for about 200 days before I got adopted. And hey—it was great. I even made it all the way to the East Coast with my new family. Big move, big life, big dreams..
.
And for a while? It was awesome..
.
Then one day—boom. 364 days later—I’m getting loaded into a van and headed right back here. No warning, no explanation. I didn’t get it. I won’t pretend that part didn’t hit me hard… because it did..
.
Those first few days back? Not my best..
.
But then I started to remember. The people here? They’re my people. The ones with the treats. The ones with the scratches. The ones who actually get me..
.
And now? I’m good. Like, really good..
.
Okay, fine—I might be a little… rounder than I used to be. But that just means I’m thriving. Fat and happy, as they say. I’ve got my pack, I love running in the park, and I will absolutely make it my mission to get every ounce of attention from every human in the room..
.
That part hasn’t changed..
.
What has changed is this—I know what I want now. I want someone to look at me and say, “yeah, that’s my dog,” and actually mean it. Not just for a little while. Not just until things get inconvenient..
.
Forever. For real this time..
.
I’ll bring the personality, the love, and yeah… a little bit of attitude..
You just have to bring the commitment..
.
So… what do you think?.

H3 Virtual Adoptions

Every Husky at Husky Halfway House needs food, medical care, shelter, and love every single day.It costs about $10 a day to care for one dog, and with over a hundred huskies on-site and transport currently paused, we need your help more than ever.

That’s where Virtual Adoptions come in.
When you virtually adopt, you’re sponsoring one of our Halfway Huskies while they wait for their forever home. You’re helping cover their daily care, meals, medication, and their second chance.

How it works
You choose your husky and your level of sponsorship, and we’ll take care of the rest.
If your chosen dog’s sponsorship is already met for the month, your donation will automatically go toward the next husky with the highest need.
If your husky gets adopted, we’ll contact you with the details of your new Halfway Husky and offer the option to switch or continue your sponsorship.
